De-blistering: Pill Pushing

Objective: Current solenoid solution cannot push out the delicate tablets from the foil blister pack without breaking them. Customer wanted an automated solution which can pop out delicate tablets as well as all other types of tablets without damaging/ breaking any tablet.
SMAC Advantage: Key points using SMAC actuators are speed, force control, stroke adjustment and noise. Conventional solenoid is open loop bang-bang between 2 end-stops and not controllable in terms of force, speed or position.
Movement profile
- Move forward in position mode
- Soft-Land onto the tablet
- Push tablet out with controlled speed and force.
